I earned an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner Diploma through The California College of Ayurveda, the nation’s leader in Ayurvedic education.  

The road to Ayurveda and getting my health back has been a long one.  I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in November of 1999.  I couldn't work, was in excruciating pain, and was facing the possibility of life in a wheelchair.  I experimented with many alternative treatments, and did get some relief; but I was not experiencing the complete reversal of symptoms that I had read was possible with natural medicine. 

I knew there had to be truth in natural medicine and I knew I would find it. Approximately five years ago I came across the teachings of Deepak Chopra and Atreya.  I was blessed with wonderful teacher/practitioners like Dr. Mary Jo Cravatta (Shaktiveda.com), Mary Thompson (California College of Ayurveda), and Dr. Marc Halpern, Founder, Callifornia College of Ayurveda.   

I changed my lifestyle and diet and my symptoms began reversing.  I knew I needed to learn Ayurveda.   Now, years later, I have my life back!  The daily painkillers and anti-depressants of ten years ago only come up in conversation now.  Now I celebrate the miracles of walking, maintaining my home, working, and having the energy to complete a two-year Ayurvedic program.   Now it's my turn to pay it forward.
